For seven years, she successfully ran a bakery in London, which unfortunately did not survive the challenges of the Covid crisis. Although Silvia had initially vowed never to open another bakery, her move to Tunbridge Wells reignited her passion for cake making and thus, Cake Blossoms was born. The greatest reward for Silvia is seeing the joy on her clients' faces as they admire their cakes and celebrate their special moments. This fulfilment is at the heart of her work. The Cake Baking Process: Booking a wedding cake is not just about selecting the design and flavours; it’s about collaborating to create a cake that truly represents the couple and complements the wedding day. From the beginning of the process, Silvia ensures that clients feel supported, guiding them through each step to deliver a cake that exceeds their expectations. Step 1: Initial Contact Once the wedding date and venue are confirmed, clients should reach out to check availability. Step 2: Consultation and Planning After confirming availability, the planning process begins. Clients can choose from Zoom, phone or face-to-face consultations. During the consultation, Silvia will discuss the venue, wedding plans, colour schemes, flower choices and cake flavour and decoration preferences. Clients are not expected to have a clear vision yet, Silvia’s role is to assist in curating ideas to create a personalised showstopper. After the meeting, clients will receive a confirmation email detailing the discussion and a quote. A deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking, with final payment due one month before the wedding. Step 3: Flavour Selection Choosing the cake flavour is one of the most exciting parts of the process. Silvia offers a variety of cake flavour combinations and is happy to discuss and create new, custom options. Clients can either have a tasting session in person or receive a Taster Box delivered to their home. Step 4: Enjoy the Big Day Once everything is confirmed, clients can sit back, relax and enjoy their wedding day, along with a slice of their beautiful, delicious cake.
